Festivals
It’s nearly impossible to make a list, because every Spring until Autumn each town holds a festival. Some have recurring themes (la polenta, la focaccia, first courses, game dishes) others are very particular (such as the Onion festival at Cannara, an explosion of flavours and fantasies in which varying neighbourhoods compete against each other in the production of the most tasty recipes based on onions – which amazingly can be presented in a thousand variations: fried, with cheese, as sauces for pasta and even as puddings.
