Hello Maurizio,
I hope you'll remember us, Ton and Ans van Krieken from Holland. We did make you a promisse to let you know wen our daugther has her baby. Well, it happened last wednesday 22 october. She (and her husband of course) became parent of a little boy, named Thijs. A beautiful, perfect little man!
Now we have also a new status, grantparents !! Very nice....
Maybe in the future your daughters will make you that also.
About the week we stayed at your place, in one word, fantastic ! I think that maybe in the future well come again.
May greetings from Holland, also to your wife.

Dear Maurizio,
Hope that you and your family are all well, and that the mayoral preparations are proceeding nicely. We are enjoying Tuscany, and have so far visited La Cinque Terre, Pisa, Garfagnana, and this weekend we go to Firenze. The peace, quiet, and tranquility of Todi all seem a long distance away - but it is all still very much in our minds.I have attached a letter to you which we would be very happy for you to use as an endorsement of your property.
Regards,
Michael |

Hi Anna and Maurizio, our friends !
Of course, we are delighted to be called as friends by you. We felt also that our relation was a bit more than that of a professional host and his guests. So we are happy to have one more friendly family in this small world.
This sounds a bit sentimental, I know.
OK, we are pleased to expect your visit, hopefully in the not too far future.
All the best for the coming year, a lot of guests, etc.
Ciao

I think we look pretty good for two old gals. The small town of Pian de San Martino is in the background. There are 4 buildings in this small town other than homes....a church, bar, elementary school and post office. The grocery store was in the town of Ponterio and about 5 minutes from where Barb and I were standing. Such fun! Every town we visted was only about 30-45 minutes from the sunflowers.Location, location, location!

It was a wonderful visit to Italy. I think we enjoyed Umbria even more than Tuscany, in part thanks to your hospitality. La Torriola was a friendly place. Perhaps we will see each other again. Stuart Cohen |

Torriola is a lovely place. The view is beautiful and the area scenic.
Maurizio is a gentleman and a very caring and attentive host without being overbearing.
The accommodation is of a high standard and would suit a family as it is extremely safe a self contained.
Thanks for your help and finding Torriola, it was a treat.

DPlease accept our sincere thanks for the wonderful week we and our friends had at La Torriola.
You have created one of the most comfortable and beautiful holidays spots we have ever stayed in- and we have travelled very widely, so that is a real compliment!
Your website had given us a good idea of how enjoyable it would be, but I must say that LA TORRIOLA exceeded our expectations.
We have given your brochures to some of our friends, with a very warm recommendation for anyone coming to stay in Umbria.
We ourselves would love to come back and visit you again some time.

Lieber Sig. Giannini,

Dear Signor Giannini
We had an excellent holiday at La Torriola. The position of the apartments is superb with views of Todi and the surrounding countryside. We came to do walking so we did not spend much time at the apartment but the facilities are very good.
You were most helpful by providing us with details of local walks and we would encourage other people who stay at La Torriola to try as many as possible of the walks, especially the ones nearby. They may seem to be a little long at 13 km but if you are suitably prepared they make a great day out and it is the best way to appreciate the countryside and the local activities. Just to walk for part of the way is better than not at all !
We will be sure to return to La Torriola again
Kind regards

Caro Mr Gianinni,
We are back in the Napa Valley, but still recalling vividly (and fondly) our trip to Italy, including the wonderful time at La Torriola. First, I want to thank you for the wonderful restaurant suggestions: Fattoria At Latisana at Lignano and Suban in Trieste. At Latisana, the waiter was extremely friendly; we enjoyed a superb meal and great wine. The menu at Suban is very interesting and a wonderful blend of the different cuisines that are unique to that part of Italy.
La Torriola offers the kind of holiday residence and facilities we wish we could find in other parts of Italy and France. We enjoyed our stay very much, and would like to thank you and your daughters for your generous attention and helpful suggestions. Of course, we think Umbria is one of the most attractive and intersting areas in Italy, and La Torriola is a great location for seeing Umbria.
Best wishes,

Dear Maurizio and AnnaMaria,
We are delighted to hear from you. Idyllic memories of our stay with you last summer come to mind. The view of Todi from La Torriola's hilltop is spellbinding at any time, dawn to sunset. With the conveniences of town only a short drive away, we were enveloped in the peace and solitude of the country. We easily settled into the spotless and modern accomodations and found ourselves very much at home. We enjoyed our conversations with you and appreciated your suggestions about local festivals and points of interest. Our visit at La Torriola was a perfect introduction to illustrious Todi and its environs. Another time, we hope to stay longer and make use of your acquaintanceship with local teachers of Italian language and cooking.
Sincerely,

We had an good journey and we returned safe in Berlin. Up to the Austria we had good weather conditions. Now back in Berlin it is cold compare to the temperature in Todi. Thank you very much for your nice hospitality. We have enjoyed the time in Todi very much. I think we will very often think about you, of sure when we enjoy your wine. Please give our best regards to your family.
